1. Bulletproof vests

  • Vests consist of two main components: a plate carrier and a ballistic plate. You can purchase either the whole kit or separate parts. Every vest needs to have two(!) plates (front and back).

 

2.Armor plates

  • We require armor plates with the following protection levels:
  •  protection level 4 (Ukrainian DSTU standard)
  •  protection level 5 (Ukrainian DSTU standard)
  •  protection level 6 (Ukrainian DSTU standard)
  •  NIJ III+ (not as good because it does not block armor-piercing rounds) – US Standard
  •  NIJ IV – US Standard
  •  BR6 – European CEN standard
  •  BR7 – European CEN standard
  •  DIN IV – German standard

You can ignore additional labels/markings such as SAPI, ESAPI, Multihit etc.

IMPORTANT! Plates of all sizes are fine. Unless you get a specific request, buy Standard (250 x 300 mm) or Medium (241 x 318 mm).

  • Plate Carriers. The main specs of a plate carrier that is suitable for combat conditions are as follows:
    – fabric: Cordura 1000d or better
    – accessories: Nexus, YKK, 2M
    – webbing: Texcel, Murdock webbing
    – Color of the plate carrire: Solid olive green or coyote brown are fine.

 

3. Helmets

  • The required standard is NIJ level IIIA. DO NOT PURCHASE: steel Soviet/post-Soviet helmets, police helmets. These won’t help.
  • Examples: PASGT, MICH 2000, ACH, LWH, Mk.6, Mk.7, Schubert M826, CG-634 or any other helmets used by NATO member states, Israel or non-NATO European countries.

 

4. Chest Rig

  • The main specs of a plate carrier that is suitable for combat conditions are as follows:
  • fabric: Cordura 1000d or better
  • accessories: Nexus, YKK, 2M
  • webbing: Texcel, Murdock webbing

 

5. Clothing

  • base layer, beanies, tactical gloves, fleece sweaters, briefs, socks, military drivers;
  • Military boots;
  • Winter sleeping bags;
  • Load carrying belts;
  • Military (camouflage) uniform. Preferred patterns:
  • Ukrainian MM-14, Varan (Варан), Khyzhak (Хижак);
  • MultiCam, MTP, A-Tacs FG;

 

6. Single-point and three-point AK slings;

  • AK magazine pouches;
  • Utility pouches;
  • Knee and elbow pads;

 

7. Thermal imaging monoculars (not scopes)

Minimum specs:

  • Lens size: 25mm or more;
  • Refresh rate: 50Hz;
  • Range: 1200m or more;
  • Resolution: 384х288 or more;
  • Optical zoom: 8х or more

Mid-range:

  • Lens size: 35mm or more;
  • Refresh rate: 50Hz;
  • Range: 1800m or more;
  • Resolution: 384х288 or more;

Professional-grade devices:

  • Lens size: 50mm or more;
  • Refresh rate: 50Hz;
  • Range: 2500m or more;
  • Resolution: 640 х 512 pix. or more;

 

8. Night vision riflescope examples:

  • AN/PVS-7 – this is what the US DoD handed to us
  • ATN PVS14-3 Night Vision Monocular
